HOGE NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Hoge Memorial Presbyterian Church’s mission is to “Feed the Community, Physically and Spiritually”.
Hoge is undergoing transformation to revitalize its outreach missions within the Hilltop community.
We are in the second year of a five year transformation plan in conjunction with the Presbytery of Scioto Valley.
The plan can be viewed at: http://hogepresby.org/686135
Hoge’s current mission outreach includes but is not limited to:
· A Food Pantry currently serving an emergency supply of food
to an average of 200 families per month
When children are on summer break,
our pantry provides perishables such as milk and eggs
in addition to the normal distribution of food.
· An Alternative Worship “Come As You Are” Service
known as HM3 (Hoge’s Music, Message and Meal) every Saturday evening at 6:00PM.
The service includes lively music, a short message,
Communion, and concludes with a hearty meal.
Attendance on average is 45 – 60 and continues to grow.
Participants regularly testify to God’s presence in their lives.
· A facility for the Mt. Carmel Medical Outreach Bus
providing medical assessments and services to the under insured
and those who cannot afford to see a doctor.
The bus is available every Thursday.
Serves as many as 30 patients in a three hour time frame.
· A Meeting Place for community groups such as:
Cub and Girl Scouts
Great Western Blockwatch
Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous
Shalom Zone (soon to host “Community Reconciliation Center”)
Unfortunately, these ministries and outreach programs are at risk of termination.
Hoge’s congregation is facing tremendous financial challenges and is struggling to meet the cost of building operations including gas, electric, water as well as salaries of staff.
If additional financial support is not forthcoming, Hoge will face closure.
Please help us keep Hoge open and its missions alive.
